As the consumption of Ice tube packaging machine increases in institutional, retail, and export markets, this mid-capacity segment is well-positioned to attract substantial investment from small to medium-sized dairy operators aiming for efficient scaling.

What is Influencing the Demand for Milk Powder Packaging?

The trend toward powdered foods is gaining traction worldwide, leading to steady growth in the demand for milk powder packaging. The rising interest in milk powder is expected to directly affect the global needs for its packaging.

There are distinct requirements for packaging machinery concerning predictive maintenance, and a recent report from PMMI Business Intelligence has explored the most significant aspects.

Predictive maintenance involves observing a machine or its parts to prevent unexpected breakdowns by anticipating failures, enabling proactive measures. Many manufacturing managers worry about the risk of machine failures causing production line shutdowns. Research in the report revealed that managers at consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies view their packaging machines as having a higher risk of experiencing downtime compared to other machines in use.

The report, titled “Packaging and Predictive Maintenance,” states that most current solutions for predictive maintenance focus on crucial assets like AC induction motors, pumps, and gearboxes, typically utilizing vibration sensors.

However, the main operations of packaging machines usually rely on servo control, even though standard AC motors are commonly found in many devices. Due to the limitations of vibration monitoring for servo technology, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are now relying on thermal imaging to collect necessary data from these systems. It is anticipated that in the future, predictive maintenance capabilities will be integrated directly into servo drives, permitting the use of standard predictive maintenance methods.

The  Protein powder packaging machine  connects to Mazzoni's STUR Ultra upstream. This equipment can handle soap bars of various shapes and sizes and accommodate different wrapping materials, such as BOPP, to meet market demands while ensuring high-quality wrapping.

The SC 700 D Cartoner packages the soap bars into cases and is also designed to operate in synchronization with Mazzoni's machine at a speed of 700 bars per minute.

The entire line can produce and package 700 soap bars every minute. Both systems provide maximum adaptability, quick format changes, reduced costs per product, gentle handling, and precise wrapping.

Certain packaging machines are more susceptible to downtime than others. CPGs shared notable findings about the machinery most likely to malfunction. In the “extremely likely” category, form, fill & seal machines ranked highest, with 14.3% of manufacturing managers from CPG companies indicating these machines are very likely to experience downtime. Following closely are labeling, decorating, and coding machines, identified as “extremely likely” to fail by 13.3% of those surveyed.

Properly packaging milk powder is essential, as it ensures the product's safety, marketability, and quality. Due to its fat content and tendency to absorb moisture, milk powder is vulnerable to lipid oxidation, making it necessary to package it correctly to protect it from oxygen, light, contaminants, and moisture.

Auto 25kg flour bag packing machine is Projected to Capture the Largest Portion of the Milk Powder Packaging Market by Type

This innovative thermoforming packaging machine comes standard with format sets and sealing dies customized for creating flat packs of sliced items. To help achieve optimal cycle output, the R 235 can also be configured with additional preheating at the forming station.

"The sliced products market in Central Europe is expanding rapidly, and competition is intense. With the launch of the R 235, we are providing this industry with a productive and cost-efficient solution," says Dominik Eberhard, the Product Manager for thermoforming packaging machines at MULTIVAC.
